We collect two basic types of information when you use our Site to offer you a personalized and rewarding experience. These types of information are known as Non-Personally Identifiable Information" (or "Non-PII") and "Personally Identifiable Information" or ("PII").
When you visit our site or create an account with us, NAW, as well as third parties with whom we
have contracted to provide services to us, collects certain kinds of data that helps us provide the
best experience for our users and members. Non-PII does not identify you personally, it simply
provides us demographic information on how you use the site. For example, 30-year-old woman
working in advertising with an interest in meeting people involved with television advertising is
Non-PII. Non-PII is typically collected though the Site in the following ways: Internet Protocol
(IP) Addresses and web logs, cookies, pixel tags and other similar technologies, and other Non-
PII that you voluntarily provide.
a) IP Addresses and Web Logs: Your unique IP Address is assigned to your computer by your internet service provider. When you access our Site, whether as a member or visitor, it provides us with your computer operating system details, the web browser that you’re using, your mobile device operating system (provided you’re accessing our Site on a mobile device), and the name of your internet service provider or mobile carrier.
c) Pixel Tags: A Pixel Tag is an electronic image, often a single pixel (1x1), that is ordinarily not visible to Site visitors and may be associated with cookies on the visitors' hard drives. Pixel Tags do not contain any PII and allow us to count users who have visited certain pages of the Site, to deliver branded services, and to help determine the effectiveness of promotional or advertising campaigns.
d) Voluntarily Provided Non-PII: We may also collect information such as geographic location or industry preferences when you voluntarily provide that data to us in order to further customize your experience so you can communicate with the exact type of professionals you are interested in.
It is possible to use the Site without providing any PII, however, to get the most out of what we offer, we do require that members provide certain types of PII. In order to be included in the NAW Membership Directory, receive our Recommended Connections, and receive access to our Perk Network, we may require PII such as your name, postal address, telephone number, credit card number or other payment account number, and health related information (for example, physically disabled seating requests). You may also provide PII when submitting comments through chat rooms, forums or message boards, but we do not collect or use PII from these sources. We only collect PII when you voluntarily provide it.
NAW collects and uses your personal information to operate our Site(s) and deliver the services you have requested. We use your information to help enforce compliance with our Terms & Conditions and applicable law. NAW is committed to protecting the rights and safety of our employees and others. We do not sell customer lists to third parties but may allow our sponsors to submit offers to NAW members and guests.
We may use Non-PII for any purpose because it does not personally identify you. We may use it to keep track of the number of visits users make to the Site, the average time spent on the Site, and the pages viewed. We may use Non-PII to diagnose problems with our servers and to administer the Site. We may use Non-PII to sell and deliver advertising, promotions and content that we believe will interest you. We reserve the right to share Non-PII that does not personally identify you with third parties, for any purpose.
Not with standing any other provision, we partner with third parties that collect information across various channels, including offline and online, for purposes of delivering more relevant advertising to you or your business. Our partners may place or recognize a cookie on your computer, device, or directly in our emails/communications, and we may share personal information with them if you have submitted such information to us, such as your name, postal address, email address, or device ID. Our partners may link the hashed or obfuscated personal information we share with them to the cookie stored on your browser or device, and they may collect information such as your IP address, browser, or operating system type and version, and demographic or inferred-interest information. Our partners use this information to recognize you across different channels and platforms, including but not limited to, computers, mobile devices, over time for advertising (including addressable TV), analytics, attribution, and reporting purposes. For example, our partners may deliver an ad to you in your web browser based on a purchase you made in a physical retail store, or they may send a personalized marketing email to you based on the fact that you visited a particular website. Your data may be transferred outside of the country from which it was originally collected. NAW will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on NAW or the Site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of NAW; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of NAW, or the public.
When personal information (such as payment information) is transmitted to other sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.

You will be able to connect your NAW account to third party accounts. By connecting your NAW account to your third party account, you acknowledge and agree that you are consenting to the continuous release of information about you to others (in accordance with your privacy settings on those third party sites). If you do not want information about you, including personally identifying information, to be shared in this manner, do not use this feature. You may disconnect your account from a third party account at any time. Users may learn how to disconnect their accounts from third-party Sites by visiting their "My Account" page.
We respect your privacy and give you an opportunity to opt-out of receiving announcements of certain information. Users may opt-out of receiving any or all communications from NAW by contacting us at email@example.com.
This Site gives users the opportunity to modify or remove PII provided to us by way of this Site. Users may do so by modifying password protected user information on the Site. To the extent that such information is stored in our databases, we will respond to your changes as soon as reasonably possible. Please understand that although this information, once deleted, is not available on the Site, it may remain stored indefinitely in our backup and archival records. To the extent that such information is not stored in our databases, we cannot always ensure that these changes will reach such other databases in a timely manner. NAW retains PII for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver services for which the PII was provided.
